I knew this would happen again! I am awake in plenty of time to get ready for WordCamp Ann Arbor on this fine Saturday morning. It is nice and cool, it rained sometime during the night and looks to be a beautiful day BUT I sure could have used a couple more hours of sleep.

My better half decided a few days ago to accompany me to Ann Arbor which made me happy. She loves to travel and see new places, so that is a good thing.

We left home about 9:00 Friday morning and had a nice drive to Michigan. It took slightly less that the predicted 5 hours due to my superb driving skills. I had booked a room at the Parish House InnB&B in Ypsilanti, MI and we pulled  into the parking lot at 1:30. We checked in and were delighted to find out that there were some good restaurants just a few hundred feet away. Since we had a late breakfast it was time for a early afternoon lunch. We quickly found  Haabs Restaurant, were seated and soon waited on. The food was very good. I had the half pound hamburger and onion rings. Very tasty and at a reasonable price.

A few hours later we decided to take a drive and see some sights. We drove to the UM campus, found the Michigan League building where the WordCamp is being held and spent some time driving around the beautiful campus.

After driving around some more We found ourselves in a JoAnn Fabrics store (I thought there was one of these down home but I am probably wrong). Now, if you have never been in a JoAnn Fabric store, the have a bunch of different types of fabric. Cotton fabric. Wool fabric. Polyester fabric. Leather fabric. All kinds of fabric. In all kinds of patterns and designs JUST like the one down home. So after leaving the JoAnn Fabric store (with no fabric) we went back to the B&B.

After wading though some email, Tweets and other stuff, I was pretty much ready to crash.  I am really looking forward to the WordCamp tomorrow, catching up with friends and meeting new ones See you all in a few hours!
