WordCamps

WordCamp North Canton is less that a month away. I will be giving a presentation which is an improved version of my Find WordPress Help that I gave at WordCamp Dayton. The North Canton event is being held at Stark State College (again) on May 2nd and 3rd. This is the second year for the this event and if this year is anything like last, it will be a great time.

Also, I saw on the WordCamp website that WordCamp Columbus is listed in the ‘Planned WordCamps’. No date is mentioned but I am sure an update will be sent out fairly soon. Angie Meeker, Dave Donaldson, Jonathan Davis and the other organizers do a great job and I am looking forward to my 4th WordCamp Columbus.

BackupBuddy

I bought BackupBuddy after attending WordCamp Dayton. As much of a backup nut I am at work and home, making multiple off site copies, I never thought too much about my WordPress sites.

That has now been corrected and I am getting regular backups of the six websites that I update and the other 2 sites that I keep an eye on.

I am impressed with how easy it was to get my first full backup. After using the plugin for a few weeks, I am learning more features and am very happy with my purchase.

WordPress Release

The 3.9 version is set to be release on April 16th. It should be interesting to hear the comments at WordCamp North Canton.
